Until we can meet each other again in person >
BONDX has got you covered!

Met our goals of meeting as many senior architects as possible. The value of BOND’s events is in getting to know the players in a firm and starting to develop a relationship and therefore trust. Trust is key.

Read More Read Less

With his inimitable humor and vigor, Eliott will take you on a whirlwind journey through the economy. Starting with a macroeconomic overview of how the US is likely to perform, he’ll talk you through every variable (from employment to population growth to interest rates) that will impact demand for architectural services, and look ahead to construction activity for the coming year.

Elliot Eisenberg, Ph.D. is an internationally acclaimed economist and public speaker specializing in making economics fun, relevant and educational.  Dr. Eisenberg earned a B.A. in economics with first class honors from McGill University in Montreal, as well as a Master and Ph.D. in public administration from Syracuse University.  Eisenberg is the Chief Economist for GraphsandLaughs, LLC, a Miami-based economic consultancy that serves a variety of clients across the United States.  He writes a syndicated column and authors a daily 70-word commentary on the economy that is available at

Dr. Eisenberg has spoken to hundreds of business groups and associations, serving as keynote speaker on topics including economic forecasts, economic impact of industries such as homebuilding, consequences of government regulation, and other current economic issues.  Dr. Eisenberg has been invited to testify before lawmakers and is often asked to comment on proposed legislation.  His research and opinions have been featured in Bloomberg Businessweek, Bureau of National Affairs, Forbes, Fortune, and many other publications.  He is a regularly featured guest on talk, and public radio.

Dr. Eisenberg was formerly a Senior Economist with the National Association of Home Builders in Washington, D.C.  He is the creator of the multifamily stock index (the first nationally recognized index to track the total return of public firms principally involved in the ownership and management of apartments), the author of more than 100 articles, serves on the Expert Advisory Board of Mortgage Market Guide and is a regular consultant to several large real estate professional associations, financial institutions and investment advisory groups.

Elliot’s interests include walking at least five miles a day and reading as many newspapers as he can get his hands on. He loves ice hockey and talking economics with crowds large and small!

Seminar - It’s Time to Stop Tinkering

Pritpal Tamber | Writer, Researcher & Consultant , Community Health & Medical Information

Read More Read Less

The COVID-19 pandemic has laid bare the inequity in most high-income countries. The people most severely affected were those with the least choices. The disparities in outcomes fell along the all too familiar lines of class, especially in Europe, and colour, especially in the US. Architecture’s response has been underwhelming, to say the least. Articles about ‘touchless tech’ and ‘living in harmony with nature’, reveal an industry struggling, perhaps refusing, to wake up to its responsibilities. In last year’s BOND Healthcare (Tucson, AZ), Dr Tamber argued that the future of health is not just about getting away from spaceship-sized-hospitals and towards smaller, more accessible clinical centres in community settings. It’s also about understanding how our neighbourhoods foster health. And rather than having elites (us) assume what that means (the usual assumption being greater access to green spaces), key to the work is engaging with empowered and vocal communities.

In this year’s seminar, Dr Tamber will show how the pandemic affected different communities, and what the organic, community-instigated responses were. He’ll relate that to his recent research on the link between community power and health and encourage the participants to broaden their thinking on what health is and how places influence it.

Pritpal S Tamber is a writer, researcher and consultant focussing on community health. His work examines the realities of bridging the health sector and communities. It is fuelled by the insight that health care is increasingly unsustainable because science and practice fail to appreciate how people and communities define their health. Pritpal writes a regular newsletter called Community & Health. It includes reviewing often-overlooked evidence, sharing the work of community-oriented practitioners, and commenting on work described as ‘community health’ or the ‘social determinants of health’. At present, he’s writing a series on the value of community power to health, which is informed by his research into the topic on behalf of The California Endowment.  His work builds on several projects that he has founded and run since 2013, including the Creating Health Collaborative, a highly curated meeting of community-oriented practitioners willing to share the realities of their work, and Community Agency & Health, a two-day symposium in Oakland, CA, that explored how the health sector might work differently to better understand communities. Pritpal is a former physician, medical editor and medical publisher, and also the former Physician Editor of TEDMED. He began his career at the medical journal, The BMJ.
