Multifamily's true project influencers gather in Texas

On April 24-27, 2025, North America’s ‘impossible to meet’ multifamily residential architects and developers downed tools and headed to Texas for BOND Multi. For many, it’s their annual ‘catch up’ with one another. It’s also a chance to get to know attending suppliers personally to see if they’ve got what it takes to become long term project partners and trusted advisers.
Let's start with who was there...

If you want to get a good gauge of the potential of this, you need to start with who was there. Here’s a very small snapshot from the confirmed architect and developer list:
- Ian Hunter Regional Director Dwell Design Studio
- Don Davidson Senior Principal Stantec
- Antonio Donofrio Principal Handel Architects
- Clement Pun Principal Arcadis
- Gerry Renaud Associate Principal Perkins Eastman
- Jeff Foster Managing Principal GGLO
- Krista Dumkrieger Principal Cooper Carry
- Kamran Charmsaz Principal KTGY
Now study the firms and job titles. Where else would you get the chance to talk to all of these people in just three days?
The people with influence over who gets specified for North America’s biggest and most interesting multifamily residential projects
BOND guarantees to deliver the people with suitable seniority and influence over who gets specified for North America’s biggest and most interesting multifamily residential projects and creates the best environment on earth for relationships to thrive.
Those super-busy architects, developers and manufacturers who took the time out of their daily schedules to be there were suitably rewarded. For, the company they found themselves in, the surprisingly open, personal vibe and something you might call the BOND factor came together to make it three of the most fruitful, inspiring and fun days of the year. Here’s what happened with thoughts and comments from those who were there.
The venue

A few words on the venue: Known as "the first of its kind sports resort," Live! By Loews is just steps away from Texas Rangers’ Globe Life Field, the Dallas Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium, the Esports Stadium Arlington & Expo Center, and more. Located in the most exciting dining and entertainment district in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex, Live! is a showcase of Texas hospitality and creative dining with all the perks of a chic, modern retreat - perfect for some quality ‘get to know you’ time with multifamily’s true project influencers.
It started with the pre-event tour – a gathering in the lobby and a short walk to the venue, you’ll find yourself getting into conversation with the person walking beside you. And, if that person just happens to be one of the most influential and well-connected multifamily residential architects or developers in the country… This is all part of the BOND factor.
AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys!
One of the most iconic sports and entertainment venues in the world, AT&T Stadium hosts major events, including NFL games, concerts, and high-profile sports championships. Designed by HKS Architects, AT&T Stadium features over 100,000 seats, premium suites, an art collection, and a fan experience like no other. The tour gave attendees a behind-the-scenes look at this architectural masterpiece – an experience to BOND over as the ice started to break.
Ask some questions and let the opportunities present themselves

BONDing already well underway for some, the event officially kicked off with the Welcome Dinner that night. The essential elements were in place with delicious food and drink and a takeover of the exclusive AT&T Stadium restaurant, allowing the people shaping America’s multifamily project landscape to settle into the event and find their networking flow. Veteran attendees would have the simplest of advice to offer first-timers along the lines of ‘breathe, relax and enjoy.’ The hard work is done – the people are here and the schedule is taken care of so just take an interest in the person next to you, ask some questions and let the opportunities present themselves.
1-on-1 with Multifamily's true project influencers

The volume of coffee required at breakfast will no doubt relate to what happened last night but there are many more familiar faces around now and you’re already starting to feel more at home. A gentle tap on the shoulder from one of the friendly BOND staff tells you there’s a seminar in five minutes so you finish your croissant, grab another espresso and head to the seminar room for the one about Building Culture: Integrating Local Art into Multifamily and Mixed-Use Developments. And then it’s time for your first 1-on-1 meeting…
You’ve studied their profiles and made your notes and now it’s about to get real. And it’s often around this time that you’re glad you’ve brought a colleague who’s just good at this stuff as you head to the numbered table of the Associate Principal from Perkins Eastman. And it’s only as you approach the table that you recognise the man from last night who was swapping barbecue ribs recipes with the person next to you and that’s how the conversation starts.
These big-name architects and developers are not so scary after all
And getting your first meeting done tends to be a watershed moment as you realise that these big-name architects and developers are not so scary after all. (See ‘Scared of big-name architects? Don't be'). And you laugh to yourself as you realise that all the practising you’ve done to nail the perfect sales pitch in 30 minutes is not the way. Far better to ask these people some questions about their own challenges and aspirations and see how you might be able to fit into all that.
The meetings really are just the start. And with two whole days of them ahead of you, with some of the most influential and helpful people in the industry, it’s an unbeatable chance to get a feel for compatibility and for any collaborative opportunities that may exist now or in the future. And it all starts with a conversation.
An environment that allows you to let relationships, friendships and potential partnerships develop

You get three whole days and evenings of focused, uninterrupted 1-on-1 meetings, a whole lot of relaxed, natural networking and a thoughtfully curated seminar program so the architects can get their AIA credits and everybody gets to enjoy that buzz of learning something new and being genuinely inspired.
What you make of your time here is down to your preparation (which BOND will help you with), an inquisitive and open attitude, good old fashioned hard work and persistence and timing in your follow up. Get those right and sooner or later you will be the person who gets that call when a need around your niche arises.
BOND Multi 2026 is happening on April 23-26 2026 at The Westin Anaheim Resort, CA. The quality of attendees and the access you will get are guaranteed. What you make of that is your story.
