Your step-by-step guide to choosing the right architects and designers to meet

4 weeks before the event you’ll get an email to let you know that the meetings selection process is open. You will have one week to select your meetings.
You’ll have a guaranteed number of 30-minute, 1-on-1 meetings that aligns with the package you've chosen. Getting the most out of your meetings is heavily down to the time you take to review all the attendees and identify your best prospects during the meeting selection stage. We highly recommend blocking out enough time in your diary to do your research.
Please note the meetings selection system is only compatible with desktop computers.
Here’s what you need to do when the time comes:
- Log in to your delegate portal and select the Meetings tab on the left.
- Scroll down to access the full alphabetical list of the attending firms.
- Click on each firm to access their profile, including who’s attending, company stats and any specific project info. they have provided.
- Please read each profile carefully then close the profile window (Click the cross on the top right corner) and drag that company into your YES or MAYBE pile, as desired.
- You need to end up with your contracted number of firms in your YES column in priority order plus an additional 50%, in case your first choices are over-subscribed. E.g. If you have 12 contracted meetings, you should have your top 12 plus an additional 6 Principals in your YES column. Putting your selection in priority order means we can guarantee that every meeting you’ll get is one you’ve chosen or where an architect has chosen you.
- One week before the event you will receive your preliminary meetings schedule. This will be a combination of your own choices and those where an architect or designer has requested to meet you, as indicated. Please take time to review this and let us know if you would like to make any changes and we will do our best to accommodate.
Important: Book time to read all the architect profiles and do whatever additional research you need to make sure you’re clear on who your best prospects are. And, it’s generally better to use your meetings for firms you haven’t met before to reveal any fresh potential to explore further afterwards. And remember, there is plenty of time throughout the event to talk to everybody else.
And, it’s not first come, first served – when everybody has made their selections, our system produces the most efficient and fair schedule possible for all.
