How it works
This is NOT a trade show
You know exactly who’s going to be here and you will have a number of guaranteed, pre-scheduled 1-to-1 meetings with the ‘buyers’ of your choice. And this is just the start.
You are all together for 3 days and 3 nights at a luxury resort, so there’s time and space to meet everybody and it’s this abundance of natural networking that opens up a whole world of possibilities. Because there’s a real community feel here and everyone’s more relaxed and open and any number of conversations can light up the commercial interior project trail right in front of you – you’ll see!

Synopsis
The lecture, titled “Living Structures: Integrating New Media Art into Architectural Design,” explores the seamless fusion of digital art and architecture. It emphasizes the importance of involving artists early in the design process, particularly during the preliminary and schematic stages, to ensure that multimedia art becomes an integral part of the building’s fabric. This early collaboration between artists, architects, and other stakeholders allows for a cohesive vision, optimizing the integration of art and technology within architectural spaces.
Key site considerations for permanent multimedia artworks, such as visibility, traffic flow, and public engagement, are examined to highlight how these factors influence the success and impact of the installations. The lecture also delves into the technical components essential for new media art projects, including display technologies, sensors, cameras, hardware, and internet connectivity. These elements are critical in creating dynamic, interactive spaces that respond to their environment and engage viewers in innovative ways.
The collaborative roles of various parties—artists, fabricators, installers, and lighting designers—are discussed in depth, emphasizing the need for coordination throughout the design, construction, and installation phases. Understanding these roles ensures that all aspects of the project are aligned, from concept to completion.
Furthermore, the lecture analyzes the critical interface between art and architecture, focusing on site preparation, power and data integration, and structural coordination. These elements are essential for the successful implementation of new media art within architectural settings.
Finally, the lecture explores the broader value of permanent multimedia public artworks in new construction, considering their role in beautification, enhancing the pedestrian experience, encouraging public engagement, and fostering a sense of curiosity and play within the community. Through these discussions, attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of how to effectively integrate new media art into architectural design, creating spaces that are both functional and inspiring.
