3 days (and nights) at the heart of Latin America’s hotel project community
It’s impossible to get the true measure of an event without being there. This review, however, will answer some of your questions around who was there, how the whole thing works and what you could achieve if you came. And you can count on these elements every year: Latin America’s most in-demand luxury hotel project leaders in one place for a few days to catch up with each other and spend some quality time with manufacturers who believe their products deserve a place in Latin America’s biggest and best hotel projects. And, once the stage is set and your project community is in place, the event takes on a life of its own. And there was something in the air this year that caused many to proclaim it the best Diseñotel ever!
Here’s some detail on the bits that came together to make that happen with a ton of comments from those who were there to enjoy it. We hope it helps to bring the event to life for you.
The people: Latin America's true hotel project influencers
One of the many things that makes Diseñotel unique in the world of hotel design events is how we select our ‘buyers’. All attending architects and designers have to meet the following criteria:
- Be a Principal or above
- Work nationally in scope
- Evidence a portfolio of live, confirmed hospitality projects throughout Latin America.
Straight off the bat, this makes BOND Diseñotel more compelling than any other hotel design event and helps to assure the best long-term ROI in the business. Getting specified is very much down to who you know so this whole thing will only work if we deliver the right people for you. Here is a small taster of who was there this year:
Get the full architect and designer attendee list.
When you get the list, please study the firms and job titles carefully. This calibre of luxury hotel project leader is simply not available in one place anywhere else – until the next one.
The Projects: Luxury hotel projects throughout Latin America
Here are just a few of the live, confirmed luxury hotel projects that were potentially on the table for attending manufacturers this year:
- Andaz Turks and Caicos - Grace Bay, Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands - 172 - 2025 - Hotel/Resort
- Aparecida Resort - Aparecida, SP, Brazil - 700 - 2028 - Hotel/Resort
- Especificación de OS&E y FF&E para Hoteles (varios) - Costa Alegre, Jalisco, Mexico - 400 - 2025 - Hotel/Resort
- Four Seasons Event Space - La Rivera, Baja California Sur, Mexico - 10,000 - 2027 - Hotel/Resort
- Hilton Garden Inn/Homewood Suites - Georgetown, Guyana - 280 - 2027 - Hotel/Resort
- Hotel NH Monterrey - San Pedro, Monterrey, Mexico - 45,208 - 2024 - Hotel/Resort
- JW Marriott Cusco - Cusco, Peru - 153 - 2026 - Hotel/Resort
- Kempinski Laje de Pedra - Canela, Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil - 60,000 - 2025 - Hotel/Resort
- Marriott Residences, Ambergris Caye, Belize - San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, Belize - 180 - 2025 - Hotel/Resort
- Tapestry by Hilton Barranco - Lima, Peru - 76 - 2025 - Hotel/Resort
Of course, none of these projects can take shape without the inspiration and support of the trusted manufacturers whom each project leader chooses to partner with and this is ultimately what BOND Diseñotel is all about. With a guaranteed number of 1-to-1 meetings with your best prospects and a whole 3 days and nights BONDing together, if you want to win hearts and minds amongst Latin America’s real hotel project influencers, this is where to do it.
1-on-1 with Latin America's Luxury Hotel Project Leaders
A month before the event, all confirmed attendees made their meetings selections – the ‘top 20’ people they’d most like to meet. And this should help you put this hotel design event in its rightful context: how much time, effort and expense do you think it would take to somehow try to arrange a series of (minimum 18) uninterrupted, 1-on-1 meetings with this level of potential buyer? This calculation often helps first-timers get the budget to give it a try…
Meetings selected, flights booked, BOND will give you all the guidance and support you need to make the most of your 3 days in this company. Those who put the prep. in – studying the detailed ‘buyer’ profiles we provide, reading this, putting thoughtful, personalised presentation packs together and remembering to pack their most inquisitive, helpful selves, were extremely glad they did.
The optional pre-event tour will get your networking off to the best possible start, this year’s partakers jumping on a jet boat to explore the coasts of Punta Cana, getting to know each other over refreshing cocktails, highly questionable Salsa dancing on deck or simply giving in to that temptation to dive into those crystal clear Caribbean waters. Finding yourself bobbing about next to some ‘big name’ architects and designers tends to break ice quite nicely.
The following 2 days and 3 evenings flashed by in a vivid collage of introductions, handshakes, nods, smiles, animated conversation and a lot of laughter. And we cannot be held responsible for the standard of ‘dancing’ that some may have witnessed going into the evenings - Oliver’s Salsa interpretation perhaps a little spicy for some…

How do you rate BOND Diseñotel overall?
4.5/5
Coming to BOND Diseñotel, in all honesty, is such a magnificent experience. It’s such a productive experience for our company, because in the end, in just 3 days, we’re connecting with top name clients and accounts — all from different countries. It’s certainly very productive that in just 3 days we’re able to meet with all these clients from more than 20-25 countries and be able to connect with them.
It’s very important for us to be able to go to such key people that make the the decisions when it comes to projects within the hotel industry that deal within the architecture realm.
And something really good about BOND is that they lead you to meet and interact with all the key aspects of project management like; the properties, the community of architecture and design, hotel chains, and us as suppliers. And this is something thats really interesting and can be realized in such a short period of time and all in the same space.
Juan Jose Lara, Andreu World, Latam&Caribbean Area Manager
Awesome. A unique and unforgettable experience. Great approaches and important business proposals. Being able to hear first-hand all the hotel projects that are being developed in the area is of great importance for us. Congratulations!!

It was a great experience for Proquinal - Spradling Group. Contacting new A&Ds in the sector, presenting our portfolio and having the opportunity to share knowledge and experiences with each of the attendees was very enriching for the company.

Coming to BOND is a marvelous experience. At least for me, it’s my fifth time attending a BOND Event and not only has this let me meet valuable people and have a good time, but it’s opened the door to meet clients that maybe we wouldn’t have had the opportunity to get close to and meet within their own offices, where they’re possibly always in a rush and not able to attend to us in the time that we require. We get to meet them in a separate ambiance altogether; out of their offices in a marvelous space that BOND allocates to not only close business deals, but create friendships.
I highly recommend BOND. I love it. Kohler has participated at BOND for many years now and we will continue doing so without a doubt.
Beatriz Gaisman, Kohler, Projects & Specifications Manager Mexico
