Hotel Del Coronado, San Diego’s most iconic of resorts that once played host to the majestic Marilyn Monroe, was the setting for BOND Events’ flagship meetings forum, Arc US.
Located on the island of Coronado, nestling between a naval base and a naval air base, the five star hotel perfectly played host to 133 Principal Architects and 107 Suppliers as they met to discuss product innovations in the prestigious Crown Ballroom.
The location for films including Monroe’s Some Like it Hot, Hotel Del, as it is commonly known, became the backdrop for a seminar programme that tackled diversification within Architecture, the impact of BIM on profits and the need for energy modelling in the design process, and for thousands of highly focused one-to-one business meetings.
During the event, BOND Events launched rise, its corporate responsibility programme that seeks to support the development of sustainable community buildings and the work of social entrepreneurs that, themselves, are investing in the communities that they live.
While hosting the meetings forum, Event Director Edward Orange said of Arc US: “For the team behind Arc US, this has been an outstanding event. It is not just the largest gathering of Principal Architects, Heads of Design and Heads of Specifications that we have brought together, but with the selection of Suppliers here, this event represents the greatest scope of projects currently underway in North America.”
A full review of Arc US will be published soon, but to find out more about joining next year’s event, or related forums, please get in touch.
